Im planning to do some long distance sailing next year, i just want to know peoples views on what would be the beat type of craft for across pacific cruising, multi,single etc....much appreciated.

Suggest you do a search of this forum (search bar at top of page) as this topic has been discussed here many times.

It probably gets down to your own personal choice/budget in the end analysis. My personal choice would be mono for ocean passages, but many will say multi.
