I've really enjoyed following this couple from Ventura, California. KT reminds us that it isn't all paradise, palm trees and boat drinks.

Great photos with their journal files.

Hi. Yeah I've been waiting, checking their site each day for the next story. I was starting to worry not hearing from them for nearly 2 months. She writes a good story and hopefully there will be more of them now they've reached the Red Sea.

Thanks

Kevin

Likewise, I didn't realize that they had a separate journal location on their web sites. They certainly are a great source for information.

I made sure Lori read the latest journal entries so she wouldn't have the false impression that everything will be smooth sailing and beach parties. The Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea passage are of particular interest to us.

If anybody has additional links for such info, please share!

Cheers,

Ken

It's a great read - not only so true, but so well written

A pity Sri Lanka was given a miss. The trouble is only in the north and although the harbour is badly protected against swell, we had a great time there, including a four day trip into the island - and the yacht was still in one piece when we got back.

I agree that Aden is great fun - except for the fact that we had to go through a long piece of bureaucracy every time we landed and returned to the boat.

Their still in the Red Sea but there's two more journals to read. I love their site.

They just updated their blog with stories of their inland Egypt adventure. KT doesn't sound amused...

Egypt, unfortunately, has a huge downside. I'd love to forget it and just focus on Egypt's outstanding sites and its intriguing history, but I find that every time I'm telling someone about something we did in Egypt, I can't escape the "but". I hate this, I don't want there to be a "but".

They've just put their boat up for sale. Not quite the end to their journey, but certainly a plan for the end.

Friday July 11th Update - Billabong Officially For Sale

Yep...saw that. They have been out for quite some time now. I was wondering when they would do such a thing.

Their site is a real good source for information and I hope they keep it up when they move to shore.

I'm hoping that they will contribute some of their excellent information to the Cruising Wiki.
