Good one indeed. Very sensible but not applicable here as the bars we have are only the sort which sell ice creams or liquor.

As always, it is horses for courses but what you wrote about PFDs and crossing a bar will be remembered and the day we do actually cross a river bar it will be without being hooked-on to the boat.
