Default Folding bicycles

I have been looking at the 'STRIDA' folding bicycle and would appreciate hearing any critiques from people who own or have ridden them.

Pricey, clever, minimal threat of rust, pricey, not for those less improved environs one often wants to cycle in, and pricey...or at least that was my take with a trial at a boat show.

We´ve packed folding bikes (I purchased my Dahon in 1987 and still use it regularly) on two boats and for many years, but in many places it´s simply not feasible nor safe to use a bike. Thus, my unsolicited suggestion is to be sure how suitable your cruising grounds are for a bike´s use before you determine how much you´re willing to spend.

Interesting design. One other thing to consider if you plan on using the bike for any touring. It has no gearing or way to carry a luggage that I could see. We ended up with aluminum Dahon's that seemed to offer more flexibility. But I would also consider what Jack said.
