Hi all,

My wife and I live in Argentina (Buenos Aires) for the moment and are looking for some education in sailing. Neither of us has much experience.

Anyone know of a experienced teacher or school around here. I have done an exhaustive search online but have been unable to find anything.

thanks, look forward to hearing from you!

Welcome OregonTwo,

I did a quick online search as well, and see what you mean. Are you willing to travel to a sailing school and if so where?

There are many sailing schools in the Caribbean, The Med, MX, SA, AU, UK, and the US, offering various degrees of certification.

Perhaps go to the local marinas, and look for the boats with the big stick in the middle and visit with the skippers, sailors, and marina operators. They may be able to direct you to a school, or maybe willing to share their knowledge. Another source could be local sail boat and yacht dealers. They sell and service them and are connected to the sailing industry.

I wish I could provide better assistance.

Good Luck

Thanks Harbor Pilot,

Those are some good suggestions. I am here until November so I will check out the local options. If I find anything I'll let you know!!
