Hi all you knowledgeable cruisers

I have a yacht in La Paz, Baja with a 9ft 6in draft, and need to store it somewhere for a decent period.

Preferably cheap and preferably secure.

Can anyone on the forum direct me to a yard which can haul out a 50 ft long 13 tonne yacht with a 9 and a half foot draft?

phone number email web address would all be helpful.

Cheers

Mike

Hello,

How long will you be leaving the boat on Baja? I know nothing about a place in/near La Paz, but further up the coast to Ensenada you can take out at Baja Naval which has very good security. Its a long haul to get up the coast, though.

Although, I suppose you may have been part of this group...if not...You may want to contact the folks who run the Baja Haha (see http://www.baja-haha.com) as I've heard that many boats are stored south on Baja, trucked north, etc. They may know something that would help you. On getting up the coast, they call it the Baja Bash and several folks write about it (see http://www.ravencruise.com/Baja_Bash.htm).

There are some contact details for you on the Mexico section of the Cruising Wiki.

Good luck.
