The good news is they captured a Somali pirate ship towing 2 attack boats ... all the pirates threw their weapons "& other pirate-related" gear overboard ... all the pirates were captured ....... both the attack boats were destroyed ...

The bad news is they let them all go ... with their mothership !!!!!!

Who the hell is running the show ...... the pirates or the authorities ?

Guess ? One of the last counts revealed that the pirates have over 400 hostages.

Sorry but I never was one for "Catch and Release." I would have voted to just blow the mothership and anything attached to it out of the water. but then I was in the US Army.

Good point, Sunseeker..... This is a good thing, but it is still true that NATO is toothless...run by toothless, mindless people.

The fact that they sunk the attack craft is good, but why let the pirates go? Because without their tools they can do no more damage....really?

Probably they had no other choice? Simply plying the waters (armed to the teeth?) does not imply they are pirates (in a court). Catching them in the act would be a different matter. Why they didn't simply use them for target practice is probably the real question? I KNOW I WOULD!
