Default online marine outfitters/chandlery

Apologies if this has been asked before (I couldn't find it when I searched).

I'm looking for a couple of good US based marine outfitters/chandlers who are able to do international shipping.

I'm doing a total refit and am going to need many $1000's worth of gear, but will need it shipped to Vanuatu or to Australia (from where I can forward it myself).

I was trying to deal with defender.com but they won't do international shipping.

They will ship to a freight forwarder, - so again any recommendations on freight forwarders who people have used before would be great.

Thanks

Why not use an Australian chandler like Whitworths? I'm sure they would have more experience in shipping to Vanuatu.

Thanks - I can use an Australian chandlery, but so far the prices are a LOT more than they are in the US for the same stuff.

I need about 100 x 600ml cartridges of sika or TDS caulking,
a massive anchor windlass, deck hardware - (lots - basically all), winches, nav lights, masthead lights, spreader lights, internal lights x lots, gps, radar, ssb, vhf, an inverter/charger, gimballed stove/oven, etc etc. - basically have to rebuild the boat.

If I have no luck with US outfitters, I'll go with Australian ones, but most stuff seems to be close to double the price so far (except rope).

I've bought a few things from the US to Australia and then on to Vanuatu, and still come out about 40% cheaper after freight, so thought if I can get a bulk order it would save cost.

Yes, 40% cheaper is well worth the trouble. Good luck finding the right company to do the shipping.

I have had items of chandlery delivered from the US to Australia, SE Asia and Mexico through West Marine. Service and packaging are always reasonably good, and even when factoring in freight, the prices were still good. I understand they have a wholesale arm Port Supply, who also despatch goods internationally.
