We finished our crossing of the Pacific a month ago when we pulled into Bundaberg Port Marina together with about 100 other boats doing the Port-2-Port Rally. It was a wonderful experience and one that I recommend to anyone planning the crossing to Australia.

Lori and I are currently caravaning and camping around Australia and find ourselves in Lightning Ridge Opal country when we get news from our friends that our young Spanish neighbors at the dock in Bundaberg have been busted for drug smuggling! We would not have ever suspected this couple of such a thing as they were quite nice and always taking part in the Port-2-Port events.

Here is the story if you are interested...Friday Freedom Pictures

man-oh-man-oh-man.

I'm so clueless about drugs that someone could be smuggling, dealing, and using all right under my nose and I'd be...welll... ?

On the up side--

WELCOME BACK to Cruiserlog posting! Please give us more stories Ken and Lori!

What a story!

It reminds me that my boat S/Y Thetis was boarded and searched by French Customs in Martinique. At the end of the ordeal they explained to us that we were under suspicion because few month earlier the crew of a large Greek yacht was caught drug smuggling.
