Thumbs up

Looks like a "must have" on the boat.

Portable energy source powered by step action. Generates enough power to start a boat? Anyone seen these?

They also sell the full range of "wind up" radios and torchlights.

Oh, nice and compact too!

I've been thinking of some kind of hook-up that I could pedal power to my output shaft for exercise on long crossings. Maybe something extracted from a small folding bike would work.

Everything old is new again!

Every outback homestead in Australia had pedal power, in many cases until well after the second world war. The only way to remain in touch with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and for children to be educated through School of The Air was by using the old pedal radio transceivers provided by the government.

Good training machine for "grinders".

For my part, I will wait until the price of fuel cells drops
