Hi Emmo,

What rig is she using? Hi Genbeany, that hull looks the spittin image of mine though I think my keel is a bit deeper. Should sail sweetly if you can get enough sail up. Mine will reach hull speed in about 15 knots of wind, even a bit better actually seen 7.5 knots just the other day. I've attached a photo of her as I was single handing her across the bay my wife shot this from the hill overlooking the harbour as I was approaching. Apologise for the quality as getting late and a bit dark for a 400mm lense handheld.

Emmo, why not attack it a piece at a time, rather a lot to describe in one hit. Is she cutter rigged?

Mine is a ferro version of the Atkins " Thistle".

Ours is cutter rigged. So far we've built a new bowsprit, replaced all the hatches/hatch combings, and are now in the process of replacing some of the woodwork around the cockpit and companionway. Then down with the mast for inspection, install new rigging, and she'll be seaworthy. Aiming for mid-summer..

Sounds like a lovely boat. Do you have any pics to post? We'd love to hear more about your boat and plans.

Fair winds,

I too have a samson c mist 32. She is gaff rigged currently doing a refit. I have to work out the halyard and lines as I urchased her with mast off. The gaff rig is new to me. What sort of speed are you getting from yours?

I had a 50 Sea Duece - Bilge Keel. - Fill the Bilge with rods and
concrete - I punched a hole in the bottom on reef and lost her.
