Default Say Hello

Hi All,

Big day in my home town today...... Its the MELBOURNE CUP.[^][^][^][^]( worth about $5M I think. Some 130, 000 people will be trackside in nice weather ( was predicted 31*C .. but dont tink it will go over 28*C)

Have a look at your news tonight or racing stations for a glimpse of this fantastic town , where I live.... perhaps after the races have finished , you will join me at my Club for a " coldie'... meet me there.

Rum, as an entertaining form of 'withdrawal' after the Cup is over, consider reading Dick Francis mystery novel that takes place around the Cup, involves an Aussie sailor and his British artist friend, and hops all around the continent before the puzzles are solved. A fun read, I think...

We used to listen to the race results on our SSB radio as we were sitting somewhere in the middle of the (Pacific, Atlantic, S. China sea). (Radio Australia? We loved to listen to it). We'll lift a pint to you and all our too far away Aussie friends.

Here in the cold NE of the US, we woke up to 3*C today. But they're promising a heat spell, and it MIGHT go to 21*. Hah! Do I miss everything where you are.

Rumrunner & ALL the other Aussies

Hope you all had a wonderful day and even won some money.

It is a great day. When we were over there we noticed that virtually the whole country shut down and partied.

Great!
