Friday's Spot map shows Jeanne approaching Vancouver Harbour. I guess by now she's ashore, or very close to it.

Well done Jeanne!!

I'm surprised about the lack of fanfare as well. This is a mammoth achievement.

Seems she's not quite home yet:

Tracking Nereida

I guess they are waiting for the arrival before they roll out the fanfare.

Yep, seems like winds are light in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. So close ... oh and silly me, she's heading for Victoria BC not Vancouver. Almost there today. I bet she has quite a flotilla accompanying her.

As of 10 minutes ago she's in Victoria Harbour, just a few hundred metres from the marina ... drum roll ...

Absolutely marvellous !!
Lets have more than a drum roll - fireworks, fanfares, and plenty of celebratory bubbles at least.
Well done Jeanne !!!!!!

Yes! Congrats are well deserved!

The first news I've seen of it is http://www.winlink.org/node/694 on the winlink 2000 site. Go figure.

Hurray! For Jeanne Socrates!
