I recently bought a new 240v, LCD TV for the boat. I notice the power pack is 240v in, 12v out. Is there any reason why I cannot just power the set from a 12v outlet?

Cheers

David

Do you mean from the ac side of it.. the 240v where it plugs in... to the transformer it changes to 12 volts before it hits the TV? Then if I've got that right you can plug it directly into a 12 volt cigarette adapter. I have a 13 inch 120 volt / 12 volt LCD TV I also use on the boat. It also has a 12 volt plug in addition to the normal power cord that came with it, but it plugs into a different place on the back of it. I love it.. it's indestructable.

Something's wrong with the clock on Cruiser Log.. it says I posted that reply in 2004.. weird, I've always wanted a time machine.
