Hi Guys

I know that running a site such as this is complicated and everyone has suggestions for how to make your time more miserable...oops meant constructive.

I was wondering if it was not a bad idea to have a section for yacht rallies around the world. There are a lot of people doing their blue water sailing in this format and information is sometimes difficult to come across. And to be honest more difficult to find out if they are well run or not.

I will leave this in your capable hands to decide if or not it is a workable idea.

Cheers Rob &Annette

I agree with Blue Lady, it would be great to have a section on one of the Forums that just focused on rallies. Especially since participation is up for many rallies (e.g., Caribbean 1500, Baja Ha-Ha, ARC, Bahamas Rally, etc). Also, i'd like to include info in the Cruising Compass!

Thanks for the Idea, The Mods are discussing the subject - Our Leader returns to his desk in a couple of days - we should be able to come up with a formula that recognises the international and non-commercial nature of Cruiser Log. (IE.. Some of the rallies have evolved into money making ventures and very little else)

I do apolgise MM. I hadnt really given much thought about the commercial v non commercial.

Again, if the idea is impractical then give it the flick. After running a similar site during my trailer sailer days I understand the need to stay non commercial so as not to pollute a very good site.

Cheers
