Only 25 days until we stagger on board the big silver bird and get out to Swagman in Turkey - and the start of our 18 month cruise back across the Med and then over to the Caribbean for Xmas. Where then? Who knows?

I say stagger, as we've got so much new kit and junk to get to the boat I'm still not sure how we'll get it out with our baggage - but we'll manange.

It's all getting a bit manic in these last weeks.

House to let. Cars to sell. Furniture to store. Everyone wanting that 'last party'. And just can't remember what I've forgot, but its sure to hit me when the plane takes off!

We'll be keeping friends and family up to speed on activities via our blog (address below) - so welcome you to it also.

Outline plan is to cruise over via Greek islands to clear Corinth Canal for Corfu end June.

Then up to Montenegro, Croatia and finally Venice by end July.

Then Italian east coast, Sicily, Sardinia to Balearics by end August.

Then Balearics to to Gibraltar / Lagos by mid September.

Then onward to Canary Islands in October for local crsuie and exit with ARC mid November.

Arrival St Lucia Caribbean first week of December.

If old pals wish to make contact so we can catch up en-route, please post a comment on our blog at www.yotblog.com/swagman.

Cheers

JOHN and SIUE

Sounds like an excellent journey. Happy sailing. If you make a stop in Morocco and feel like venturing inland, let me know and I will be happy to show you around.

I don't suppose you are looking for crew, are you? Not that I would be ideal, not having any experience, but that is just about the time I plan on leaving Morocco, and if anyone is willing to give me a chance, I will work my *** off learning what I need to learn to be a good, competent crew member. Please see my post in the Free Crewfinder forum, if you think you might be interested in giving me a chance.

Just thought I'd ask.

Anyway, regardless, happy sailing.

Hi Mamoru,

Thanks for the guide offer plus crewing - but we've been persuaded we should try and visit Madeira before the Canaries so likely Moroccan coast is out for us this year.

Good luck in securing a crew spot on the ARC. Guess you know they have thier own web site and also a crewing notice board? Go see www.worldcruisingclub.com.

Cheers

JOHN

I love yacht rallies, and would appreciate reading your experience in the ARC.
