Bit hard to tell from the Spot map, no details ... he seems to be close to it.

He is about 50 miles from Cape Don at the moment on the Western side of Cape Hotham. I was there last tuesday night. If you zoom in his Spot map you will see individual log points more easily.

Hi lex nope not there yet got hit quite good at about 3.30am decided to do a strategic retreat back to cape hoff rather than cop the pounding winds were touching the 40 knot mark with a shocking sea state looking at the weather pattern now may be a little more stratigic this time and go via greenhill island
Enjoying Darwin?

Yeah Drew those sound like the winds that pounded me after I came round the Cape, super nasty sea state as well.... really knocked us around but we made it in the end.

Darwin is cool, looking around a bit and enjoying the sailing club..good food there.

Good luck to you and hope you get favourable weather soon.

Really someone jumping ship already ... there were 3 or 4 boats there and I reckon all of them are heading this way...

This is the season for boats heading this way so i reckon you will find someone no probs ...

yep a little beating (and there will be bigger ones to come) oh well and i was being nice by coming back to the hoff instead of riding it don't know what part of my ad that said expect to be wet battered and bruised as this is a west to east crossing they did not understand and were not even at the gulf yet and that can be real fun and they have experience the novices on board are fine
hopefully someone will pass thru tomorrow and i ca n send them back to Darwin as ill Finnish re sewing the blown panels of the jib tomorrow and be ready to go again
yes the dsc is good for food but i also recommend the ski club on the foreshore walk to mindi beach good food there also and good entertainment on the weekends as well just walk towards the museum
have they got that 3 mtr croc yet floating around at fannie bay yet?

My headsail blew out totally...destroyed it like confetti ... can't be sewn. I just started the motor and rode it out.... some people are pussies.... have not heard anything about a croc being caught so it might still be about, but croc's don't bother me, I am used to them.

I have had an offer on the boat I am seriously considering.... its damn good and I guess I might accept it depending on how discussions go in the next day or two ... might fly to Asia and pick up another one there... who knows.

I have already been offered spots on two boats. One as navigator and advisor, paid even ... thinking about it but who knows what tomorrow will bring.

I used to do paid deliveries and also know of one or two boats that need delivering but I am thinking Asia is calling ...laughs.

How many you got on the boat?

to be honest the real money is taking boats back west to east ive been paid between 6-12k a trip to take there boat back to cairns not bad money for 1350 nm some people just cant sail i have found when the wind is against them
Asia is calling me als o as soon as i loop around the Whitsundays ill be off to the solomns then into asia myself want to be in Thailand for xmas
