Hello.. yes... am back... and the aussies did well on the ARC. Our boat came 11th out of 225 and was the first cruising boat in! It was a fantastic crossing and I think that anyone planning on doing the North Atlantic at that time of the year would do well to join the arc. The camaraderie is fantastic and the friendships we all made will hopefully be lasting ones. I posted daily logs under the yachtingworld website (UK) and if you subscribe or buy Australian Yachting, look for my upcoming article on the arc in it. I've just finished reading your posts re darwin-perth and agree with what you have concluded. But then.. what would I know.. I am only a South Aussie and blonde at that

Just started the Mel /Geelong race this morning ..about 350 yachts, including Skandia.. gee she is awsome....

Heya Brian... Glad you think skandia is a great boat... I am crewing on her for an offshore race in a few weeks. Hope you had fun in Geelong.. I will get over there for a race week one day!
