Yeah, well I had to take the plunge sometime. I've been completely engulfed in reading all the posts on here, getting dreams of someday sailing away from the water/winter wonderland that is the great State of Michigan. I'll certainly say that in my limited experience of sailing the last year, there is no doubt in my mind that of all boaters, (sorry to nit pick!) Sailors are by far the friendliest, most helpful, and most well-prepared of all the boaters I've ever met. What an incredible feeling it is to hoist sail and set off on an adventure, nearly every day!

My first boat was Frolic. I was going to rename her 1st Step, but could never bring myself to change it. Then I purchased the cat which was named Murmel, German for marble. I changed that to Imagine as in Lennon's song. That is how I came about my screenname Imagine2frolic, as I owned them both at the same time.

My boat is named "Rigamarole". My wife came up with it because she always says I need a lot of rigamarole in my life.

A great combination of boat names was on a boat (40' + cabin cruiser) and tender owned by a conrtactor. The tender was named "Original Contract" and the cabin cruiser "Change Order". Must have done government work.
