To those who are of the Scots Isles, toady is the day to properly enjoy the wee beasty with a dram and Neep's & Tatties on the side. We had a good sized one for our family of four with Neep's (Parsnip) and Tatties (Mashed potatoes) with a side of mash swede and carrots with a dram for the adult's and Halva for desert. If you are are any where in the world today lift a dram in memory of a poet who died to young, Robert Burns. If you care to sing a song for him than sing his - Auld Lang Sing - is of his hand for the words where the tune comes from in the back history of scotland is lost in those mists where many a bit of history goes a walking.

Fair Winds, and fair Weather to you all on this day and God bless,

Michael

Quick note of a point I forgot.

1) We did the toast with Glenmorangie 10 yr

2) Auld Lang was play upon a 30 button "Anglo" concertina in the key of C from a 19th century arrangement of the peace.

To all the best,

Michael

No "wee beaty" available here in Spain but there is a bottle of Glen Grant's with which the old bard will be saluted. The "great chieftain o' the puddin' race" will have to wait.
