Hi,

Just posting on the off chance that someone out there might have a vessel travelling from NZ to Hawaii next month, with room for a 13 foot wooden surfboard. The board has been built for a 'pipeline' challenge happening this winter on Oahu, the construction of it and the board itself are well publicised and there is a lot of interest in the global surfing community regarding the outcome. . . . ( a big wooden board being surfed at pipeline is a unique event).

What I am hoping to do is add an interesting chapter to the whole story, and of course am willing to offer some funds to pay the board's passage . .. . hopefully a tad less than the regular freight companies would charge.

If this post is unacceptable here then I understand if it gets deleted.

Cheers

Roy

PS please excuse typo in subtitle

Not many yachts will sail from NZ to Hawaii - and it would take a lot longer than a month to get there. Wind and weather and season are all against you.

Better to ship it.

Sorry.

Hello Roy,

You don't say if you are also going to Hawaii - accompanied baggage can also include a surfboard when it is on its way to a recognized event.

I guess you may have already sought sponsorship ? Air New Zealand fly to Honolulu .

Also, it might be worthwhile talking to Air New Zealand Cargo :- http://www.airnz.co.nz/aboutus/cargo/default.htm

All the best
