Just sold our 1982 Fiat... 2 cars to go before we start cruising! Anyone want to buy a beat up 1995 Chevy pick up or 2000 Acura TL?

Well done - only two to go.

Oh that brings back so many memories! Countless garage and lawn sales, selling clothing, books and everything not nailed down and then living under our just completed yacht in a friends front yard while we waited for a buyer to come along and snap up the only remaining possession not travelling with us - our car. We needed to sell the car urgently as we had run out of money and the car would pay for the crane and the truck to carry us to the ocean!

We discovered later that we didn't need to panic as all the neighbours were so keen to see us go after a year and a half of fibreglass dust, two pack epoxy paint plumes and midnight sawing and drilling filling the street, they were all prepared to chip in and buy the car themselves just to make sure they could get a good nights sleep!

Good luck Yolo and hold fast to that dream!

Great story! We have been living aboard for 4 years so most of the "stuff" has been gone for a while. Just a few odds and ends left, plus the 2 cars. The goal was April first but may have to push that back a bit.

We're down to one car, too. Often it's parked in a different city than we're located in--so making do without it is becoming more the norm.

But, its a great car, that has all kinds of character, and has seen more in its life than most people will see in their lives!

Buttercup appreciates your kind words. She's now with us in Newport Beach where she gets to give rides to cruisers w/o cars. The high-light of her week is the 23 ft boom that she's hauling (on her roofracks) to a boatyard for another cruiser She loves feeling important and it is hard for her to deal with the fact that she has competition from the boat and the dingy now
