An we have another winner! She is the Pride of Baltimore II

A very fine vessel for sure...I really like the canted masts.

Not the Russian ship NADEZHA.

2nd clue: It was built in the 1870's and has rounded Cape Horn a couple of dozen times (not while I was on board!).

The tall ship in post 103 is the barque James Craig. She was built in Sunderland, England in 1874.For 26 years she plied the trade routes of the world carrying general cargoes and rounded Cape Horn 23 times. In 1932 she was abandoned and became beached after breaking her moorings in a storm in Tasmania. She remained beached until 1972 when volunteers from the Sydney Heritage Fleet re-floated her. Restoration work was completed in 2001.With 21 sails James Craig sails most weekends in Sydney Harbour and out the Heads. Next time you are in Sydney, you can be a passenger / deck crew member on a day trip for $195, and share in hoisting the yardarms and trimming the sails.I can't guess who owns the motor boat.Nicely understated choice for a musician, presuming they could afford something flash if they wanted. Anyone in the UK got any leads?duckie

It looks like a 60ft Scottish converted something steel round bilged - a riding sail to compensate for rolling - 150 hp single screw. (As it is flying the red duster - presume an English pom musician - Sting - Rod Stewart ?? Give up ...................... More clues please!

Just sitting at my laptop listening to the Martha and the Vandella singing Dancing in the Street when I read the above clue and it occured to me that there are so many (fantastic) groups from the sixties who have lost members - from the Beatles to the Doors. Sorry Steve but that clue does not really give us very much to work on. Can you narrow it down bit please?

Close huh?Okay, obviously it is not anyone from the Doors as the boat is flying the red ensign so British. I suppose it could be one of the two remaining Beatles but I would imagine that Paul would have a much smarter boat than this. Ringo on the other hand....?

But, it could be one of the survivors of the Who, Pete Townsend and Roger Daltry. I know Pete Townsed had a boat called Zephyr but I don't think this is the one.

Nope. I just don't know.

Well, okay. Obviously Paul McCarteny. I know he had a boat but I believed it was called LINDA and I never had Paul pegged as a Dicken's fan.

Spot on

Paul McCartney

Barnaby Rudge is berthed down in the South Coast quite near his farm.

Its quite nice to know that it doesnt matter how much money you have, getting out on the water is the most important thing

But when you have a Super yacht and you cant remember where you left it you better remember this website

I wont be around much for the next 2 weeks so please keep them question's coming.

Cheers

Steve

Hey Auzzee,

Did you spot this in Darwin recently? It may have been unobrusive.

Hi,

Yes, this 'little' beaut was here about a month back. When I saw it in the harbour, I took a shot of it, but unfortunately I did not have the long lens with me.....Click image for larger version
