Default "The Naked Canadian" Book

I was in a Seattle marine store the other day and heard two guys talking about a new book out called the "Voyage of the Naked Canadian" I asked the fellows and one said it was about a canadian families sailing adventures in Mexico, he said it was a good read, but has anyone else read it as yet and is it worth getting? It has a strange title so I was wondering about its content.

It's not in any of the book stores that I asked in, does anyone know where I can find it?

I did a search on your Naked guy, You got the title all wrong. The book is called "The Voyage of the Maiatla with the Naked Canadian" the Author is Andrew W. Gunson and the Publisher is Trafford Publishing in Victoria BC. Canada

http://www.trafford.com/4dcgi/dosearch

I found him thru Travis Burke and Mystrey Tramp Records- Burke apparently wrote a song entitled the "Naked Canadian" which was inspired by the author of this book. who was cruising Baja at the time. I heard a clip of the song at Burke's web site and its sounds pretty cool.

I haven't read the book but the publisher has a outline online to read if anyone is interested, The book looks interesting but I think I will wait till its in the Library to read it. Its just been released so not surprising that you have't been able to find it yet.

hope this helps.

Peter.

I just finished reading the "Voyage of the Maiatla with the naked Canadian" by Andrew W. Gunson and I loved it, the author tells a good story. its was nice to read an acccount of a voyage where the captain isen't full of himself and just tells it like it is. Id recomend the book.

My wife is now reading the book and she is liking it, which is surprising because I haven't been able to get my wife to read much on the cruising lifestyle. Maybe this book will get her to consider a cruise to mexico on our own boat.

I had to order it direct from the publisher, Trafford in Victoria Canada. but I hear that its starting to show up in some of the bigger marine book stores.
