Default Free ebook for cruisers crossing the Indian Ocean

It is again that time of year to remind the cruisers who are crossing the Indian Ocean from January that there is a free ebook to download that will assist sailors to make landfall in South Africa.

"Welcome to Durban - a Sailor's Guide" by Tony Herrick is packed with very useful information.

The new updated version (Nov '06) of the FREE "Welcome to Durban - a Sailor's Guide" ebook is now being downloaded from CLICK HERE (over 13,000 copies of this very useful publication have been downloaded to date Aug '07).

Radio Nets:

South Africa Maritime Mobile Net. S Africa. Covers Indian Ocean & S Atlantic. 14.316Mhz & moves to 7.045Mhz @ 0630hrs and also @ 1130hrs (both frequencies)

Radio "Peri-Peri". East Africa. Covers Indian Ocean & S Atlantic. 8.101Mhz @ 0500hrs zulu (weather) & then 12.353hz after the weather. Again (both freqs) @ 1500hrs zulu.
