I will be transiting thru Indonesia waters from Singapore to Australia. I am only planning on stopping in Bali for 3 days. I have heard it is possible to do this without a cruising permit (CAIT). Does anyone know what are valid reasons that are acceptable by the Bali authorities for asking for a 3 day 'emergency' stop?

And would it be possible to have a crew member leave the yacht in Bali and depart by an international flight?
