Hi,

Does anybody have recommendations for a qualified yacht surveyor in Indonesia? How about repair facilities for mast replacement and fiberglass deck and hull repairs? Would I be better off taking the boat to Singapore? Thanks

G'day Ian, where abouts in Indonesia are you?

Cheers

David.

Personally, Ian, I think that anyplace outside Indonesia would be good. There are some good wooden shipbuilders in Indonesia, but the attitude towards foreigners is pretty one-way - the foreigners provide money, the Indonesians receive money from them, not necessarily in return for anything. It's an exhausting place to do business.

Hi Ian,

Have emailed list of Indonesian suppliers and repairers relevant to sailing yachts.

Richard

Hi David,

I'm in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan ... lots of commercial vessels here, even some fiberglass powerboats, but nobody for sailboat repairs.

Thanks Jeanne ... I've got to properly assess what I'm up against, repairwise.

Richard, Thanks for the list.
