My wife and I are planning to take a little cruise. I say planning because we've learned that sometimes life gets in the way. Our idea is to leave June 15, 2009 on our Oday 35 for a years cruise, north then south (starting in the Chesapeake Bay). ICW, costal, Bahamas. The boat has a few years on her so we are refitting it. She's named Journey after the popular phase "It's the journey not the destination". We've been reading the forums here for some time now, a wealth of information and a friendly community. We look forward to being a part of it.

Welcome David and Peg !

It is good to have you as part of the Cruiser Log crew. I hope your voyage will be a great success but don't forget to keep us informed about both the preparations and the voyage itself.

Grab a drink and have fun. It is Lighthouse's turn to get a round in!

A hearty welcome aboard David and Peg - good to have you here.

Beware of: "We went cruising for a year. After 10 years we're still cruising for a year"

Enjoy!

Dave and Peg, I'm in Annapolis and have done the Annapolis to New England trip three times. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to help.

D & P,

Sounds like a great time & a great plan. Getting south is the work. After the time is up, and you have had your fun. Then the ride home will be a pleasure. Unless of course you do like Lighthouse, and not return....lolololol....i2f

Peg and David,

I'm even newer here than you are. I keep my boat in Solomons. Best of luck on your journey. I started my blue water sailing last year with a trip to Bermuda. Wonderful experience.

Hi Guys,

Sounds like we're sharing the same plans. We have a Dickerson 37'CC just outside of Baltimore. Planning on heading north to Provincetown/Boston this summer and back to the bay in the fall. After that hoping to head to the Bahamas. Its a life long dream (hopefully) coming together. Lots to do and lots to think about. Have done the sail north before. Let me know if I can help with any concerns. Good luck with your preperations. I look forward to hearing your updates. Tessanna
