Default Hello All

Thank you all for having such a vast set of knowledge on this Cruisers Log. I believe each of you have much more knowledge than I can ever attain in this boating world. We purchased a Bristol 41.1 last year and is actually the first boat we have owned. So we are in the learning curve. An older boat and stuff breaks. I get to research, fix and repair while the wife gets to point things out.
Last week while on the boat we had problems with the centerboard pendant, the winch hoisting up the centerboard and finally an electrical problem.
The centerboard pendant is repaired but the winch is still indeed of repair. Currently it is tied up at the handle with a spare line. I posted yesterday a thread about winch problems.
If I can get some help in figuring out what brand of winch it is that would be the start.
Below is a link to my Flickr photo of the winch. Hope this helps!

Bryan

Looking at the pic of your winch, it looks like it might be reasonably easy to take apart and investigate the problem. When taking it apart just make sure you remember what goes where, winches usually rant to complicated so you shouldn't have too many problems with it.

Good luck with it ...

Lex
