Hello all,

Recently joined, been inspired by the logs for some time, hope to contribute to the Great Lakes cruising wiki over time.

Grew up sailing out of Port Moresby, PNG; life's twists and turns have taken me to Minnesota where I tralier-cruise out of Lake City with my family of five.

Happy sailing!

OMG, how could you trade the warmth of PNG for USA's icebox, Minnesota? Peter went to Warroad, MN one winter for a tour of the Marvin plant. He didn't like the climate at all, at all. And we lived in Boston at the time.

Welcome.

Jeanne

I am with you on that one Jeanne, I am not sure how anyone can live where the temp drops below 10 c. I sailed around some of the outer Islands of PNG a few years back and they are fantastic it was like going back in time.

Anyway back to work so I can go cruising again in March to the Solomon Islands

Regards

Manni

Have fun on the Great Lakes. Beware of Superior. Been there and the storms come fast and they come deadly. Beautiful sailing otherwise. Lake Michigan and Huron are a lot of fun and If you can spare the time for one of the Regatta's they are always fun.

Fair Winds and hope you are doing well.

Michael
