I've been a professional mariner for 50 years (I started very young; my first "professional" job aboard a vessel was walking dogs aboard the QE I @ the age of 6).

With one circumnavigation and numerous trans Atlantic & Pacific voyages under sail, as well as many voyages on commercial vessels, I've retired and now it's my turn to choose my destination and timetable. Unfortunately, I'm single handing, but with all this newfangled roller furling gear I only have to get the sails in & out, not up & down, & it's all done from the cockpit! Far out!

Getting underway from East Greenwich, RI in April, heading up the NE coast & the Canadian Maritimes.

On the voyage here from NY, where I purchased the boat, I found most places cluttered w/ moorings to the point that anchoring was sometimes impossible. So any advice or "local knowledge" re; New England anchorages would be most appreciated & any info on cruising the Canadian Maritimes especially welcome.

Thanks,

Andrew
