Hello everyone. My significant other and myself just bought a 45' Whitby, and can know start working towards the lifelong dream of going cruising. We are both estatic about the future possibilities and really enjoying the "labor of love" needed for the "TLC" part. Look forward to chating...

Cheers,

Cheryl and David

p.s., my previous boat was a 22' trailerable, so I've got some learning ahead, and our new boat is the first boat Cheryl has ever stepped on, so she's still in the learning a new vocabulary mode.

Cheryl and David,

Is your Whitby 45 a Sloop with a cutter rig, ie: the staysail is hanked on, not on a furler ?

Something like this one :-

I have friends from Canada who circumnavigated in their Whitby 42 Ketch - a very nice boat.
