Hi all,

This is my second attempt to introduce myself. Not sure whether I am doing something wrong. I've been sailing for about 30 years and currently own a Jeanneau 43. I cruise, rather than race, and have done most of it on the Chesapeake Bay. Over the past year, however, I've done some blue water. Took my boat to Bermuda and crewed on someone else's from BVI to Chesapeake.

Boat now hauled for the winter. I believe I may take it to New England next summer.

Fair winds,

Ray

Hi, Ray. The Chesapeake is such a lovely place. My father-in-law once said that if he was told that he had to stay in one state for the rest of his life, without traveling elsewhere, he'd choose the Chesapeake Bay area. It's got it all, big cities and quiet, untouched little bays of heaven.

A great place where you can get onto your boat and take a vacation to find quiet serenity far, far from your house and yet have traveled only 10's of miles rather than 100's or 1000's.

There are places like that elsewhere in the world and they are the little gems that most of us are searching for.

Welcome aboard Ray. I too have sailed on and off in the Chesapeake as I live part of the year in Washington, DC.
