Hi All,

New shipmate here. Name is Andy. I am looking to connect with people on working on a yacht. I was in the US Coast Guard, worked as a Civilian Mariner for Military Sealift Command, and Merchant Marine in the Offshore Oil Industry. I have decided that it is time to get away from the pain and dangers of working commercially. I do not have a problem learning and working hard to get where I want to be, just that watching some of the old "sea-daddys" without fingers and bad attitudes about life was starting to get to me. So, I am taking a new approach to life, work and everything in general. I would like to be surrounded by people who take pride in their jobs, and what they do, and have a chance to grow, and not be held back by someone in an office who has never been to sea.

I will be getting to Fort Lauderdale in the next month as I wrap up life where I am, and taking some schools to add to what I have already. I would like to hear from anyone who can give me a heads up to something that I might need to know or get me ahead in the industry.

Thanks for everyones time,

Fair Seas,

Andy
