Ahoy everyone. I'm new to this blog, and am looking forward to hearing and chatting with you all about your sailing adventures. I'm open-minded and can't wait to read any sea stories. I am open to learning whatever information and knowledge you have to give me, and I would love to get some hands one experience on board. Here's to new future adventures! Cheers!

When you can, I would recommend finding yacht clubs or sailing clubs in your area. Go and introduce yourself - there are loads of club races where people are looking for crew for a day race. And sometimes a lack of experience can be a plus since some skippers like to train in a specific way.

And though the title sounds horribly condescending, I would suggest "Sailing for Dummies" as a good starting point for your sailing library.

Welcome!

hi, thanks for welcome, we have loads of last minute stuff to do, plus we have to get all our children on board, they are spread all over the country, David will clock up a lot of miles over the next 3 weeks picking them all up, so we will be headless chickens for a while, love to hear what you and others are up to, kind regards Julie
