Hi,

I am not a live aboard cruiser, but I spend a lot of time in my 1975 Pearson 39 Yawl on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland USA. I am in the process of completely rebuilding her. 80% done with all new rigging, winches, change to Mid-boom sheeting, etc. Now considering repower options. Suggestions appreciated.

My goal is the circumnavigate the Delmarva penninsula (up the Chesapeake, C&D Canal, down the outside and in at Newport News and back up the bay), then a trip from Middle River to Bermuda and back.

I have sailed for nearly 40 years. I am now retired. Started with a Cape Dory Typhoon to a Cape Dory 25 to a Cal 2-29 to an Alberg 30 to the Pearson 39.

Cheers to all,

Alan

ps: Always willing to help anybody stuck or needing assistance in my area.

Welcome aboard Alan - good to have you here.

We hope to hear all about the work you're doing on your Pearson - and see some pics.

Make yourself at home.

G'Day Alan,

Sounds like you are well on your way and like most, really enjoying putting the plan into action.

Look forward to hearing lots more as you progress further - well done - and WELCOME!

JOHN
