Hello. I actually had my first solo run at Camp We-Wah in Florida when I was nine. It was a day sail and I couldn't even tell you the mark. It hooked me good though and eventually my cousin and I were racing little hobie cats on Lakes from Orlando to Leesburg and making shore runs up and down Daytona and Cocoa Beaches whenever we could. I was an original Florida surfer boy too. At age ten, I caught alligators for the places along A1A that no longer exist. Others made a dollar fifteen a week delivering newspapers and I was making ten dollars a foot on three to six foot gators. To put that in perspctive, back then you could go see a first run movie, get a popcorn, AND a grape soda for a dollar if you went before 3 on a Saturday. Fast forward many years and three careers to age 54, divorced, and trying to figure it all out like everyone else.

Welcome. So what are you sailing now? Pull up a drink and stay a while.
