Blue Water Cruising Yacht For 4 Months

Has anybody an idea or suggestion of how to obtain a blue water equipped cruising yacht for just 4 months?

We are looking for a 36-40 ft steel equipped blue water cruising yacht. We will be in Australia for inspection the last week of April and are looking for the boat available from July-end of October 2010.

After 4 months sailing Darwin->Ambon->Indonesia->Australia, we will fly back to the Netherlands.

As hiring might not be preferred because we leave to Indonesia, buying or paying a deposit/bail could be an option.

Any suggestions?

You should contact Robin Engels at Songline Cruisers of Indonesia based in Jakarta. He manages numerous boats in that region and is a tome of knowledge when it comes to Indonesia cruising. Make sure you check all the immigration and custom formalities for Indonesia, we got knobbled several times when we were cruising Sulawesi and Moluccas as I only had a 30 day visa and you have to leave the country and reenter to renew.
