The Wiki is a great idea!

I think many will be curious about:

equipment reviews -- what works & what doesn't; among what works, what regular maintenance is required, how easy this maintenance is, life expectancy, ease of locating parts for said brand; price range, difference between different price levels

cruising budgets -- maybe those with good records will post specifics (especially useful to see the newbie budget before they work out their cruising lifestyle), comparative lifestyles for different regions

experience with retailers -- this might descend into commercialism, but curious how cruisers comparison shop both at home & abroad

...I think these topics might naturally arise within the individual region & passage discussions, but I think they might deserve their own section.

If there are other websites that do a good job addressing these topics, then maybe simply a "Links" section to lead readers to them.

What do you think?

Bum has a great monthly cost breakdown for circumnavigation:

Billabong has a great "What works and waht doesn't"

@KMo

Thanks for the input.

"Reviews" of brands may be a little difficult for the purpose and integrity of a Wiki but I will look into the rest.

Thanks for the links, Trim50.

I understand the trickiness of posting specifics about particular items, Lighthouse, but definitely a topic of conversation out there. It may have to remain a periodically concurring Q&A instead of a dedicated section.
