This is something that we should consider in adding to the Wiki Passage Template, that is a reference to a route in Google Earth.

I use Google Earth a lot when I am ashore but not when cruising, too slow and too expensive with my G3 connection. As a mater of fact, I keep downloaded a number CL Wiki pages to be viewed as needed off-line.

Cannot think of an automated tool to add way points on Google Earth, but this would be a very good future project. I might undertake it if no one has done so by then. But right now I agree with Lighthouse that our most important task is too populate our wiki pages (ports, islands, and passages) . Help here would be greatly appreciated.

As I said, I managed to add my Outlook contacts using some sort of import facility and my guess is that someone somewhere has a way to import Lat Long rather than postal addresses from something as simple as Excel or a CSV file.

What we need is a Google Earth expert - they must congregate in a forum somewhere - I'm sure that it'll all have been done already by someone somewhere!
