Currently located in S'pore, but the hardner component of my International Perfection paint, has gotten block hard.

I have tried to purchase a fresh can of hardner from the local Int'l distributer, but he won't sell me any.

Does anyone know of a substitute hardner that I can purchase locally, or have a source for fresh Int'l Perfection paint hardner ?

I usually use propane gas decanted into a can of half used paint, to keep that remnant paint from going hard, and that has worked well for many paint and oil based products, in the past.

I also know of a comercial product that does the same .

Can anyone help me ?

It's just two pack polyurethane .. so any polyurethane hardener should work, but you should of course try a sample to see what happens when not using the recommended hardener. I had the same problem. The stuff goes very brittle on contact with air and makes it hard to remove the lid on the tin a second or third time without damaging it, ensuring it will never seal again. I shake the can vigorously to ensure liquid fills up the gaps.. the seal is too bad to turn it upside-down for fear of losing the whole contents Same problem with Jotamastic (which is Epoxy).
