v-drive engine - Nordic boat

I am looking at Nordic boat with a v-drive engine. Any input on pros or cons. The boat will be going offshore. also what about engine hours before major maintaince?

Having the engine aft of your rack makes the *** end heavier. It needs to be trimmed with more water in the FW tanks and moving fuel from aft forward. If you're running dino oil - the engine mfgr has specific instructions - 50 hr, 100 hr etc. I run full synthetics and do oil changes once a season or 500 hrs whichever comes first. I do change the oil and fuel separator filters at 100 hrs.
