The fix is simple. Read the owners manual. It says very plainly: PUSH THE STOP BUTTON AND THEN TURN THE KEY OFF.

If it had been so simple!

The wiring loom had to be replaced including the solenoid. All of it was quite a mess.

Just did the repair during the week.

Well done,

Lots of things on a boat are not simple.

Hi there,

We are having the same problem you had but need a bit more detail on how to isolate the problem as we find some of the advice hard to follow. Removing and crossing the wires on the stop switch doesn't stop the motor. We connected the solenoid straight to the battery and it didn't work so we bought a new solenoid. Still not working and I came upon this posting. So now we want to test the key switch. Exactly how do we test the switch?

Thanks,

Kelly
