This information is so great! I have 5 of these lights right now, we're still working on the mounting for them, and we won't be on the boat until next week, when we frantically try to tidy up loose ends before she is loaded onto the ship transport bringing her to the Baltic. The components you are all suggesting are quite inexpensive, so if I can convince Peter to try each of them, we will.

This kind of making something work is a lot of fun for me. Keeps those old grey cells active.

I will let everyone know the outcome when it's done.

Yay team!

Jeanne

Update! We still haven't installed our lights, but that will happen soon. However. We were in a Finnish light store, and they have 12V LED lights! They also sell a transformer to convert the 220V AC to 12V DC. The light will not fit on Watermelon without some modification, they are VERY expensive, but they look wonderful! Well, VERY expensive is relative, they were cheaper than the DR LED light I bought, which is not attractive. Of course, I didn't buy it on sale, but.... https://www.professorled.com/catalog/produc...?products_id=62

They are made in Sweden, so I'm going to look for more when we're there again.

Stay tuned.
