Ther's an owners group. I just google and found it EDEL sailboat owners association here.

There is some discussion about mast stepping on this cruiser log topic http://www.cruiserlog.com/forums/f12...boat-3899.html

Will you be trailering and stepping the mast each time you use the boat or must do once? There are lots of videos on stepping masts on Youtube

Mast stepping on a sailboat - YouTube
Mast Raising oh so easy - YouTube
Mast Raising - YouTube

Figure yours is deck stepped. Hope it works out.

Thanx for the links and utube vidio.....The main Edel site isnt much use..I would like to come up with a system that I can use on board while in the water. Most of the techniques ive found require a 12 foot ladder, whitch would be combersum. Hav'nt watched the vidios yet, hopefully they can point me in the right direction....thanx again

Suggest you pick up Bruce Bingham's book "The Sailor's Sketchbook". He shows how to make a bridle for raising and lowering your mast which we have used many times. Using the bridle my husband can drop our mast by himself.

Find someone with some experience to give you a hand. There are many little things which crop up during the procedure that you simply won't know to look out for.

Good Luck!

I'm helping a friend who is converting his deck stepped mast to a tabernacle design for frequent use. I came across this thread and I've got that book The Sailor's Sketchbook for other reasons. It had a lot of good tips in it. Out of print but still available online places.
