I'm would very much appriciate a little input on types of boats and what to look for in them.

thanks in advance

Hi Troy,

Welcome to this forum.

46 foot is a good size to go ocean voyaging if you need or want all that space. The FP Bahia 46 is a well proven design capable of what you have in mind, a cruising cat not built for high speed though. As with all buys make sure you get a survey done before you sign on the dotted line!

You might also want to have a look at the multihull forum www.multihulls4us.com
