Bonjour Tout le Monde!
Yes, I am tyring to improve my French... I have a question regarding the tension that the super-structure of a catamaran undergoes. I understand that at one point, it was a considerable problem, and considered a failure point. As I understand it now with the advances in the tools available to marine architects, having a cat break in half is not so much a problem anymore. Nevertheless, one cannot help but think that torsional stress will still result in some variance in the structure over time and when under pressure from various conditions. What is a reasonable expectation for this sort of thing in a more modern catamaran? Can one expect heave in the deck?
Thanks!
