Oh right. Yeah. Thanks for that Steve, sanity restored.

It just sort of reminded me of my motorcycling days I suppose.

So many sailors are also motorcyclists. I guess it is the similar elemental experience. Have just finished a week on the road riding the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also rode Cherohala Parkway and The Dragon's Tail and we would have ridden the Skyline through Shenandoah National Park if the weather hadn't taken a distinct nautical turn. Time to go sailing again. Yay!

AUZZIE, If you ever get a lust for REAL mountain trails, try Rocky Mountain-CO / Yellowstone-WY / Glacier National Parks-MT on a bike! Don't forget to tack at the switchbacks and luff up for bears! gts1544 - George

We just drove a 4x4 truck up through Cordoba Pass in SE Colorado Near La Veta, on the side of West Spanish Peak at 11,350 ft. The whole way up through miles of gravel roads and switchbacks I was thinking how much fun that would be on a bike.
I'm no longer allowed to ride on anything with inline axles. No bikes, motorcycles, or rollerblades.

I am lusting after a Harley trike, though.
