I am new to this forum. The idea of crewing just came to me on a trip to New Zealand -- I have chartered bareboat in NZ, but just dreamed up the idea of sailing TO NZ.
I am retired (clinical psychologist) with 6 years experience skippering/crewing 32-36' sailboats -- all coastal waters in NZ and California. I have single handed (X4) within the SF Bay and San Diego - Catalina CA. My health and conditioning are excellent.
While I am an "intermediate" sailor, my outdoors activities (technical climbing, month-long backpack trips, wild land fire fighting, long horse treks) have led to pretty good general "outdoor" abilities and self-confidence.
I would like to crew on a solid sailboat with an experienced skipper to New Zealand - and maybe back, if possible.
