Skipper and crew wanted from Vanuatu
Skipper and crew wanted from Vanuatu to either Australia (Cairns or Darwin) or Singapore, Johor Bahru, or Sihanoukville. Journey starts in September 2015. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the whole journey myself because of work commitments but I will be joining for some parts of it. I would like a reliable skipper to handle the boat duties.
Solid and reliable 40 foot steel cutter rig on which several members of this forum have already sailed.

Vanuatu
Hi,
I might be interested as my cousin and I were planning to visit family in Nouméa, New-Caledonia at this period of the year. Never been to Vanuatu, would love to sail. Little experience in sailing, we are both fit, good humour and easy-going people.
Let me know if you would be interested.
Guillaume

Haven't heard a peep from Del in months. Must be fairly busy with work over there (wherever "there" is right now).
Hey buddy, what's new?

"What's new". Work started explodey and got explodier. "There" is currently in Saigon but commuting to Singapore for work most weeks (see "explodier" above). Would love to be spending more time on the water but for now I'm happy to be slobbing about in the tropics, spending the man's hard earned cash. I'm hoping to chuck in at least one of my side gigs in the not too distant future.
On the horizon we're starting to figure out whether we can run charter sails out of Phu Quoc island, Vietnam. Maybe, maybe not, depending on lots of government red tape, but hey what else is new. Probably a 5 year project between finding the right boat, finding a place to moor up, and jumping the various regulatory hoops.
Had a great time in Koh Samui recently but seeing all of the boats bobbing around off the beach there made me homesick, for values of "home" that include a keel and some sails.
Alas the bandit appears to be going downhill somewhat. 19 years old, so not a bad run for a cat. Nothing specific so far but she's losing weight and looking a bit tired and pained when she's not asleep.

Awesome, thanks for the update. Give the Bandit a pat for me. :-)

Thanks! for the update. Glad that you managed to get the cat moved finally. That was surely a stressful thing for her, too. Really glad you're busy and we'll look forward to hearing more about the parts of the trip you do this fall!
